Transactions

The “Transactions” page provides an overview of the main key performance indicators (KPIs) and a table listing all the transactions reported by Amazon across your accounts with Business Analytics enabled. It also includes information about your expenses, provided manually through “Expenses”.

The “Transactions” page can be accessed in two ways:

  • SELLERLOGIC Homepage > Business Analytics | Transactions
  • Business Analytics navigation bar > Transactions

Page settings

The “Transactions” page header offers a range of settings for filtering and configuring the content displayed by the KPI widget and a table: “Group/Account”, “Marketplace”, “Date range”, “Display transaction levels”, “Currency”, “Change view”, and “Edit groups”. To learn more about page settings, see Business Analytics | Page settings.

Display transaction levels

The “Display transaction levels” filter allows you to view transactions that occur only on the chosen levels. It is designed to filter transactions displayed in the table only and does not impact the values presented within the KPI widget.

You have the flexibility to select multiple levels from the dropdown list, allowing you to focus solely on transactions occurring at the selected levels. For example, if you opt for "Account-related transactions," only transactions occurring at the account level will be visible in the table, excluding marketplace, order, or product-related data.

Below is a table listing all options available within the “Display transaction levels” filter, along with their respective descriptions.

Option Description
Global transactions Filters transactions that occurred only at the global level, and the manually assigned indirect costs.
Account-related transactions Filters transactions that occurred only at the account level.
Marketplace-related transactions Filters transactions that occurred only at the marketplace level.
Order-related transactions Filters transactions that occurred only at the order level.
Product-related transactions Filters transactions that occurred only at the product level.

Change view

The “Change view“ button opens a modal window with the "Order view" and "Transaction view" buttons that allow users to switch between different view modes on the page. The icon on the button indicates the current view.

Order view

In this view, the data is displayed based on actual and estimated transactions by order placement date. Transactions are assigned to their corresponding order date once the system receives the order transaction information. The enabled “Order view” is indicated by the shopping cart icon.

Transaction view

By default, "Transaction view" is selected. In this view, the data is displayed according to the actual transaction dates, regardless of the order placement date. However, estimated transaction data is still assigned to the order creation date. The enabled “Transaction view” is indicated by the bidirectional arrows.

Note: Metrics such as "Order items", "Units", and "Promotion" display data according to order dates, regardless of the selected view mode.

KPI widget

The key performance indicator (KPI) widget summarizes the main performance metrics for the time period defined by the “Transactions” page settings. Each metric value is compared to the value from the equal preceding period, as specified by the “Transactions” page settings. The ↑ ↓ icons indicate whether the value has increased or decreased compared with the previous period. Hover over the arrow icon next to the desired metric, to see the tooltip displaying a percentage change.

Below is a table listing all the metrics available within the KPI widget, along with their respective descriptions.

Metrics Description
Product sales The amount of income generated by ordered product sales.
Revenue The total income that includes product sales and other income.
Expenses The total amount of expenses.
Estimated margin The amount of estimated profit, calculated as revenue minus total expenses.
Estimated margin %

The percentage of estimated margin in the revenue. Ranged from -100% to 100%

Note: If the revenue = 0, it is impossible to calculate the margin. In this case, the “Margin“ will be displayed as “N/A“.

ROI The ratio of net profit over the total expenses.
Order items The number of items across all orders.
Units The number of ordered units.
Promotion The number of orders with promotions applied.
Refunds The number of refunded units.
Total ACoS The ratio of total advertising costs to total sales.
ACoS The ratio of total advertising costs to sales generated by advertising.

Table fields

The “Transactions” table provides a detailed list of all financial events that have occurred on Amazon across your accounts with Business Analytics enabled.

Group by

The “Group by“ column introduces grouping functionality and offers a structured way to organize data in the “Transactions“ table. The data in the table can be grouped by the following categories:

  • ASIN
  • Marketplace
  • Brand
  • Manufacturer
  • Product type
  • Fulfillment method
  • Parent
  • Tags

To apply grouping, use the "Group by” column on the table's left side. This column is fixed (not part of the "Table content” settings) and cannot be hidden. Select a grouping parameter from the dropdown list, and the table will automatically reorganize to display products grouped by the chosen attribute.

Each group is represented by a group header row, which shows aggregated totals and metrics for all products within that group. These values are non-clickable.

If the column has different values, “N/A” is displayed in the header. If the column has the same value, the aggregated data is displayed.

Groups can be expanded or collapsed using the chevron icon at the beginning of each group row. When expanded, only the first four transaction rows are shown by default. Additional transactions can be revealed by clicking the "Load more” button.

Filtering and sorting remain fully functional when grouping is applied. When a filter is applied in a column header, the filtering is applied at the transaction level within each group. A group header row is displayed only if all transactions within that group match the applied filter criteria. Click the reset button (funnel icon) in the table header to reset the grouping and return to the original table view.

Table options

Each column header provides “Ascending” and “Descending” sorting options as well as individual filtering of data upon a click on the column header filters as provided in the table above.

Сolumns with text search feature in the header are equipped with multi-value search. Values should be divided by commas. If the value contains a comma itself, the value should be put in parentheses.

The “Table settings” and “Table content” buttons, located at the lower right of the page, enable you to customize the view and content of the page table. The “Table content” modal form allows you to manage the columns of the table, by changing their respective order or visibility status. For more information, see SELLERLOGIC | Common service features.

Export results

The "Export results" button, located at the top right of the "Transactions" page header, enables you to download the data displayed on the page to a local file for offline analysis, reporting, or record-keeping. Two datasets can be exported independently: the KPI widget data and the transaction table data.

Clicking the "Export results" button opens a dropdown menu with two options:

  • "Export widget data" — exports the dataset behind the KPI widget displayed at the top of the page. The following metrics are included in the exported file: Product sales, Revenue, Expenses, Estimated margin, Estimated margin %, ROI, Order items, Units, Promotion, Refunds, Total ACoS, and ACoS.
  • "Export transactions" — exports the rows currently listed in the "Transactions" table. All filters and sorting applied to the page are reflected in the exported data. Note: The "Export transactions" option downloads all rows matching the current filters and is not limited to the current page view or a maximum row cap. Large exports may take additional time to process.

Each option opens a separate modal window containing a single output-format selector and "Cancel" / "Export" action buttons.

Step-by-step: exporting data

To export data from the "Transactions" page, follow these steps:

1.    Open the "Transactions" page by navigating to the Business Analytics navigation bar > "Transactions".
2.    Set the desired "Group/Account", "Marketplace", "Date range", "Display transaction levels", and "Currency" filters in the page header, and apply any column filters or sorting in the table.
3.    Click the "Export results" icon at the top right of the page header.
4.    Select "Export widget data" to export the KPI widget dataset, or "Export transactions" to export the filtered transaction rows.
5.    In the modal window, select the preferred output format — "CSV" or "XLSX" — from the format dropdown.
6.    Click "Export". The modal closes, and the export job begins processing in the background.
7.    Wait for the "The export file is ready for download." notification to appear at the top right of the page, then click "Download" to save the file.
