Ads (PPC) breakdown

Table of Contents

The "Ads (PPC) breakdown" widget, located at the bottom of the “Dashboard” page, provides detailed insights into the costs associated with your PPC (Pay-Per-Click) advertising campaigns on Amazon. This widget breaks down PPC costs by categories as reported by Amazon, reflecting the settings defined within the "Filters” panel of the sidebar menu. For more information, see Business Analytics | Dashboard | Sidebar menu.

Metrics

The "Ads (PPC) breakdown" widget categorizes PPC costs into the following categories:

Sponsored brands: Total costs spent on Amazon advertising for all products sold within the specified period. In particular:

  • Product collection: Costs spent on advertising curated collections or groups of products to target specific customer segments or showcase related items together.
  • Store spotlight: Costs spent to promote the entire store or a selection of products on Amazon.
  • Video: Costs involved in advertising through video content.

Sponsored products: Total costs spent on promoting individual products sold within the specified period.

Sponsored display: Total costs spent by advertisers to target and reach potential customers across the purchase journey on and off Amazon for all products sold within the specified period.

Total ACoS

The "Total ACoS" (Advertising Cost of Sales) represents the ratio of total advertising costs to total sales. The corresponding tooltip appears when hovering over the info icon. The "Total ACoS" is calculated using the following formula: Total ACoS = (PPC costs ÷ Revenue) x 100.

Data availability

The widget retrieves historical data regarding your ads (PPC) costs occurring before the Amazon Ads account was connected to the SELLERLOGIC Platform. However, the start dates for retrieving historical data vary depending on the cost category:

  • Sponsored brands: Historical data spans up to 60 days before the Amazon Ads account connection.
  • Sponsored products: Historical data spans up to 95 days before the Amazon Ads account connection.
  • Sponsored display: Historical data spans up to 65 days before the Amazon Ads account connection.

Note: All information regarding your ads (PPC) costs is available only if there is an active Business Analytics subscription and at least one Amazon Ads account activated for Business Analytics.

An Amazon Ads account can be connected by clicking on the “Amazon Ads account” link (in the tooltip that appears when hovering over the info icon next to the widget header). This action will redirect you to the “Amazon Ads account management" page for further account management. For more information, see SELLERLOGIC Platform | Amazon Ads account management.
